Eragon

I just finished reading the book last night and after a long time was so immersed in the magical worlds of the book, as I used to during the Harry Potter era, that I lost all track of time. Eragon is now definitely in my list of top ten books, after Harry Potter, of course but it was truly a magical experience, one that I am looking forward to continue in Eldest. I think the only thing that truly upset me during the book was Broms death and I still believe that he should not have been killed off so soon but I also understand he had to in order for Eragon to become truly independant in every sense, I guess. I have watched the adaptation of this book to film and thought it was extremely weak compared to the plot of the book, especially in terms of Murtaghs role. The film is unable to capture completely the complexity of Murtaghs character but I am sure he is definitely going to become one of my favourite fictional characters. I believe that Paolini has a lot of potential that can already be seen in Eragon and will be seen much more in Eldest and Brisingr. I wonder if the inheritence books are going to be a trilogy like the Lord of the Rings? I think I do not want to ever stop reading about Eragon and Saphiras adventures, yet all good things must come to an end I guess. I hope this will be a happy one!
